About me:
I'm a freelance journalist, writer, editor and photographer based in Mexico City.
I've always loved writing and the thoughtfulness and reflection it asks for. Though more instant, photography also requires reflection and purpose, needing time to assess the surroundings and decide what image best tells a story.
While based in Delhi, India, I was fortunate to take photographs for CanAssist, a Canadian charity that works to empower girls and women in Delhi.
I have my BSc in Kinesiology and my BA in Journalism. My work has appeared in Maclean's Magazine, the Calgary Herald, CityNews and more. My Calgary Journal story, "Mind of a Murderer," was a 2019 Finalist for the Emerge Media award in the Feature Story category.
I worked as an editor and reporter at CityNews Ottawa, covering topics ranging from crime to education before moving to India in 2022.
